A rare 1940s gold Rolex ref. 4021 would be enough to catch our attention. However, this particular Rolex happens to have belonged to Pop Art legend Andy Warhol, and it comes with all the documents to prove it.
Warhol was a well-known lover of watches, though for varying reasons. For example, he is often quoted as having said don wear a [Cartier] Tank watch to tell the time. In fact I never wind Fake Rolex Watches it. I wear a Tank because it the watch to wear. But Warhol didn limit himself to unwound Tank watches. Fake Rolex GMT For Sale In 1988, Sotheby auctioned off Warhol massive horde of possessions, and this is where the Rolex at hand originally popped up.
Since it sold for $1,900 back in 1988, it has remained in private hands off the market, and this is the first time it has surfaced since. The watch is solid rose gold with a rose gold and steel bracelet. While the color of the bracelet matches the case closely, it is not an original bracelet instead, it is the bracelet Warhol himself added to the watch upon purchasing it. You will notice that there is an engraving on the snap-down case back, however it reads R. Brown, not Warhol. Brown was the original owner, from whom Warhol bought the watch.
